Pop star Taylor Swift has written a moving and truly endearing love letter to her favorite genre of music (you guessed it – Pop!) in the latest issue of Elle UK. “You’d think that as pop writers, we’re supposed to be writing songs that everyone can sing along to, so you’d assume they would have to be pretty lyrically generic… AND YET the ones I think cut through the most are actually the most detailed,” Swift writes, emphasizing that the most beloved pop songs are exceptionally personal and far from mainstream. Swift also discusses a long list of pop songs that each hold a treasure-trove of memories for her. “I’m convinced that ‘You Learn’ by Alanis Morissette, ‘Put Your Records On’ by Corinne Bailey Rae and ‘Why’ by Annie Lennox have actually healed my heart after bad breakups or let downs,” she writes. “We like being confided in and hearing someone say, ‘This is what I went through’ as proof to us that we can get through our own struggles,” Swifts adds, saying that pop has the power to heal by commiserating with the common man’s struggles and pains. Meanwhile, fan theories suggest that Swift is gearing up for the release of her seventh studio album. According to the most enthusiastic Swifties, a series of seemingly disconnected photos on her Instagram suggest a countdown to the release date of the album. The singer acknowledged the absurd theory by posting a hilarious picture of her cat Olivia Benson’s slightly agape and shocked face, with the caption “She just read all the theories.” Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com.
