Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack returned to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart after recently winning the Oscar for best original song for “Shallow.” This is for the fourth non-consecutive week that A Star Is Born has reached the top spot, Billboard reports. The film’s soundtrack climbed from the 3rd position to 1st with 128,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending February 28, up 152 percent, according to Nielsen Music. The album’s sales were boosted by the publicity and promotion for the movie during the Academy Awards as well as lower pricing by Amazon. The movie was nominated for eight awards, including best picture. However, A Star Is Born only received one award, for best original song, for “Shallow.” Ariana Grande’s thank u, next, which spent its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1, dropped down to No. 2 with 116,000 units.
