Steven Tyler says he's working on a new solo album and heading down to Nashville to do so. He dished on the news during a video Q&A with Twitter Music at Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco. "I'm going down to Nashville [in] January, February, March, April to write and see what we get," he began. "You know, doing an album is kind of like panning for gold."
Lady Gaga has opened up on plans following the release of her Tony Bennett collab Cheek to Cheek. Speaking during a Reddit AMA, the Mother Monster said she was looking to go in a rock inspired direction. "I was in a classic rock covers band at the same time I was in jazz band in high school and doing jazz state competitions," Gaga said.
Shania Twain has opened her first Shania Kids Can Clubhouse in Brampton, Ontario. The country superstar's Shania Can Charity Foundation will provide $100,000 a year for enrichment programs for at-risk students at the Sir Winston Churchill Public School in Brampton.
Lionel Richie has lashed out at Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, saying that the recent crop of pop stars don't measure up to previous generations. "The beautiful part of where we were - we had shock value. But what came with shock value was hit after hit after hit. Madonna was outrageous - but she had a catalog of music that was unbelievable," said Lionel.
Ariana Grande has released a sneak peek of the music video for "Love Me Harder," a cut from her latest album, My Everything, featuring a guest spot from The Weeknd. In the stills, Grande wears cat ears as she and the Weeknd harmonize in a dark stairwell. Grande and the Weeknd performed the cut on the season opener of "Saturday Night Live" last weekend.
Mariah Carey recently kicked off The Elusive Chanteuse Tour in Tokyo, Japan. The songstress played her first show at Tokyo's Makuhair Messe Arena on Friday, October 3. She started off the night performing the O.D.B.-assisted remix to "Fantasy," along with 20 more singles, which included her number one singles, fan favorites and some of her new tracks.
