James Taylor To Perform At The Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting

James Taylor headlines the list of big names to take the stage for the 90th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting, the National Park Service has announced.

At the event, Taylor will be joined by Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Colbie Caillat and American Idol Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips. The announcement of more acts is expected soon.

The National Christmas Tree Lighting, a tradition begun by President Calvin Coolidge in 1923, is the first event in a four-week holiday celebration in President's Park presented by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America's national parks.

The 2012 National Christmas Tree Lighting will take place on Thursday, December 6 on the Ellipse at President's Park in Washington, D.C. Watch online live at www.thenationaltree.org
