Steven Tyler Apologizes To Nicki Minaj After Idol Criticism

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has issued an apology to Nicki Minaj for his comments criticizing her judging style on American Idol. A feud between the pair erupted earlier this month after Tyler said that Minaj would have dismissed Bob Dylan from the show.

Tyler initially questioned Nicki's harsh approach towards the contestants:

"If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield! Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out, as we did with Phillip Phillips."

She was quick to fire back, accusing Tyler of racism. He has since rescinded his comments:

"I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki," he said Canadian entertainment show eTalk. "But I am the farthest from (being a racist). I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist. I don't know where she got that out of me saying I'm not sure how she would've judged Bob Dylan."
