Marvin Gaye's Son Pleads With Lenny Kravitz To Leave Biopic Project

Marvin Gaye's son, Marvin Gaye III, is blasting Lenny Kravitz for his participation in an upcoming biopic of the soul legend. During a recent interview with Spinner.com, Marvin III says that the producers behind the project are focusing only on a turbulent period of his father's life.

"The producers and directors of this film are very wrong and shameful . . . [They're] trying to do a film about a low period in his life. They don't even know the whole story," he tells the site.

He continues on in the interview to say he hopes to "talk to [Kravitz] about why he would do this."

He adds: "I would hope [Lenny] doesn't have any idea that we are against this film being done."
