McCartney-Nirvana Collaboration For Sale On ITunes

The surprise collaboration between Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana's members, "Cut Me Some Slack," is now available for sale on iTunes.

The song premiered live last week at the 12-12-12 benefit for the victims of Hurricane Sandy when Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic joined the former Beatle on stage at Madison Square Garden.

The trio teamed up again later in the week on Saturday Night Live to perform the song again.

"Cut Me Some Slack" was written and recorded for Dave Grohl's forthcoming documentary Sound City - Reel to Reel. The Sound City project also includes Grohl collaborations with Stevie Nicks ("You Can't Fix This") and Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick ("From Can to Can't").

Sound City is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, with the soundtrack to have an expected release date of March 12, 2013.
