Taylor Swift Tops List Of Charitable Celebs

Taylor Swift was the most generous charitable giver in 2012, according to the list of celebrities published by DoSomething.org.

The website indicated that the 23-year-old country star made it to the number one spot on Top 20 Celebs Gone Good of 2012 list after donating a whopping $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame and also for receiving the Ripple of Hope Award from the Robert F. Kennedy Center for her charitable efforts. Swift is the youngest person ever to receive the award.

The number two spot on the list was taken by Miley Cyrus, who helped out with Saving Spot! Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for dogs from high-kill shelters.

Other stars to make the list include actor Channing Tatum who raised millions for the Rainforest Foundation, Lady Gaga who started her Born This Way Foundation, and Justin Bieber who participated in the Believe Charity Drive and Pencils of Promise.
