Rod Stewart's Christmas Album Is His Best-Selling Record In Seven Years
Rod Stewart's latest album, Merry Christmas, Baby, has become his best-selling record in the past seven years after racking up 823,000 copies sold since its October release.
The holiday album, which currently sits at number six on the Billboard 200, is his best-selling since 2005's Thanks for the Memory . . . The Great American Songbook Vol. IV. Between the two albums Rod has released two best-of comps and three other albums.
Merry Christmas, Baby has also generated Rod's first hit on the Adult Contemporary chart since 1993, "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow."
Merry Christmas, Baby-featuring guest spots from Michael Buble ("Winter Wonderland"), Cee Lo Green ("Merry Christmas, Baby") and Mary J. Blige ("We Three Kings")-hit October 30. Rod is even joined by Ella Fitzgerald for a "virtual duet" on "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?"
