Bruce Springsteen Named MusiCares Person Of The Year

Bruce Springsteen has been named the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year.

Springsteen will be honored next month in Los Angeles with an invitation-only gala in conjunction with the 55th annual Grammy Awards on February 8. The event includes a star-studded concert featuring a host of Springsteen's admirers.

Kenny Chesney, Emmylou Harris, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Natalie Maines, Elton John, Mumford and Sons and Neil Young are among the acts who'll pay tribute to the Boss in recognition of his philanthropic efforts and his influence on musicians from all genres.

The Boss joins an illustrious list of past MusiCares Person of the Year honorees, including Tony Bennett, Bono, Natalie Cole, Neil Diamond, Aretha Franklin, Paul McCartney, Luciano Pavarotti, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Brian Wilson, Stevie Wonder and more.
