Taylor Swift Matches Beatles Record

Nothing can stop Taylor Swift's fourth album Red, not even the Beatles.

The album has entered its sixth non-consecutive week at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, which, according to Yahoo! Chart Watch, makes Taylor the first musician since the Beatles to chart six weeks at number one with three consecutive releases. Swift's 2008 release, Fearless, charted 11 weeks at number one, and her 2010 album, Speak Now, topped the chart for six weeks.

In comparison, the Beatles notched seven consecutive albums at number one, from Beatles '65 in January of 1965 to Abbey Road in November of 1969.

Swift is also the first woman in history to have three consecutive albums spend six weeks or more at number one on the Billboard charts.
