Prince Auditions Drummers Ahead Of Possible Tour

Prince scheduled six surprise gigs in his hometown of Minneapolis this week, according to a report from Billboard. The Purple One planned three sets of unique shows.

The first two sets, which went down Wednesday (January 17), featured improvisational music, while he auditioned new drummers; the second two sets, performed Thursday (January 18), were billed as having an "after party vibe"; the last two sets, scheduled for Friday (January 19), are billed as "Surprise."

All six shows go down at the Dakota Jazz club. A venue Prince chose as his own, Paisley Park, has been reserved by fun. as they rehearse for their upcoming tour.

Tickets, which cost between $70 and $200, sold out for all of the dates.
