Bruce Springsteen's 'Born To Run' House For Sale

The two-bedroom cottage in Long Branch, New Jersey where Bruce Springsteen wrote "Born to Run" is up for sale for $350,000.

"I was living in a small house Long Branch, New Jersey, up the coast from Asbury," Springsteen said in the Wings for Wheels documentary. "One day I was playing guitar on the edge of the bed and the words 'Born to Run' came to me."

Springsteen rented the 828-square foot bungalow at 7 1/2 West End Court, one block away from the beach, from 1974 to 75. He stopped when fans discovered the address and wouldn't let him live in peace.

Real estate agent Susan McLaughlin told the Asbury Free Press that tourists stop by the house "all the time."

"It went on sale Friday, and I've had about 40 calls and another 40 contacts, mainly through emails," she added.
