Taylor Swift Visits Young Cancer Patient In Nebraska

Over the weekend, Taylor Swift stopped by an Omaha, Nebraska hospital to visit with 10-year-old Lauren Hacker, a young cancer patient who also happens to be a fan of country music, in particular, the music of Swift's.

The meet up was made possible after Hacker's family created a YouTube campaign titled "Come See Lauren Please, Taylor!" Swift eventually saw the touching vid and traveled to Omaha for the photo-op. It was documented by Lauren's dad on his blog:

"Taylor Swift stopped by Lauren's room at the hospital around 1 p.m. in the afternoon. She spent about an hour chatting with Lauren . . . Lauren got in on the act and played a song on the electronic piano keyboard that she got for her birthday."

Swift's tour kicks off in Omaha on Wednesday (March 13), stopping in 47 North American cities on its first leg.
