Family Of Michael Jackson Want 26 Billion Compensation From Concert Promoter

Katherine Jackson, mother of Michael Jackson, and the late pop star's three kids (Prince, Paris and Blanket), are demanding 26 billion in compensation from concert promoters, AEG.

The clan claims that the promoter owes them for lost future earnings from a series of concerts scheduled which were canceled after he died.

They also say that AEG was negligent in hiring Jackson's now jailed doctor, Conrad Murray. A court previously determined that Murray was guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

AEG says the sum in unrealistic due to Jacko's declining popularity at the time of his death. After his death, his estate raked in more than 675 million, much of which was used to pay off his 375 million in debts.

The case kicks off on April 2 in Los Angeles.
