Paul McCartney Contributes To Michel Gondry's 'Mood Indigo' Score

It is rumored that Paul McCartney has laid down some bass for the score to the upcoming film, Mood Indigo, from director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Green Hornet).

According to IndieWire, Macca plays on at least two instrumental pieces, which were written by Etienne Charry, a former bandmate of Gondry's. The two played in the French outfit, Oui Oui.

It wouldn't be the first time Gondry and Sir Paul have worked together, as the former directed the latter's music video for "Dance Tonight" in 2007.

Mood Indigo, based on a novel by Boris Vian, tells the story of a woman who suffers from an unusual illness caused by a flower growing in her lungs. It's set for release on April 24 in Europe, but has no U.S. distributor yet.
