Coldplay's A Rush Of Blood To The Head Named BBC Radio 2 Favorite Album

Coldplay's 2002 album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, has been named the favorite album of all time by the audience of BBC Radio 2.

The band, which beat out the Beatles, U2 and the Rolling Stones, hit its official website to thank listeners and supporters:

"Good evening. We're very pleased to report that Coldplay's 2002 album, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, was today named BBC Radio 2's Favourite Album, following a listeners' poll. Enormous thanks to all of you who voted."

Keane took second place with their 2004 effort, Hopes and Fears, while Rio (1982) from Duran Duran wound up in the three spot. Pink Floyd and Dido rounded out the top five with Dark Side of the Moon (1973) and No Angel (1999), respectively.
