AEG To Put Michael Jackson On Trial In Own Death

AEG Live, the late Michael Jackson's concert promoter, says that Jacko is to blame for his own death and not them, as the company defends itself against a wrongful death suit.

According to CNN, AEG's lawyers will present evidence of the King of Pop's lack of responsibility, dredging up his previous child molestation suit (which was dismissed) and his alleged history of drug abuse.

"I don't know how you can't look to Mr. Jackson's responsibility there," AEG lawyer Marvin Putnam told CNN in an upcoming doc to be aired on the channel, Michael Jackson: the Final Days. "He was a grown man."

Jackson was scheduled to launch his This Is It comeback tour, arranged by AEG, just two weeks before his death.

Michael's mom, Katherine, and three children are suing AEG, claiming the company is liable for his death because they hired Dr. Conrad Murray, who was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter in connection with his death.
