Michael Jackson's Pet Chimp Bubbles 'Abandoned' By Jackson Family
Michael Jackson's famous pet chimp Bubbles has reportedly been abandoned by the Jackson family.
Bubbles is currently residing at an animal sanctuary in Florida where a spokesperson has said the elderly chimpanzee has not received a visit from Jackson's three children since he was moved there in 2005. The animal was not provided for in Jackson's will, and staff at the sanctuary now have to raise nearly $20,000 a year to take care of him.
"Michael's sister La Toya paid a visit here about two years ago but that's the only visit we have had from a member of the Jackson family," a source told the Mirror.
Bubbles was a former research animal Jacko adopted in the early 1980s. After living with the family in Los Angeles, he moved to Jackson's Neverland Ranch in 1988.
