Director Kenny Ortega Breaks Down During Michael Jackson Testimony

Kenny Ortega, the director appointed by AEG Live to capture Michael Jackson's would-be "This Is It" tour, choked up while testifying in the wrongful death suit brought by MJ's family against the concert promoter.

On the stand, Ortega, reports CNN, read an e-mail he wrote days before Jacko died:

"He was like a lost boy. There still may be a chance he can rise to the occasion if we get him the help he needs." He then asked the judge for a moment to gather himself: "I'm not OK right now. Can I have a second?"

Ortega's testimony backed the claims of Katherine Jackson, who says that AEG was negligent in their treatment of her son. Ortega noted that during at least four rehearsals Jackson seemed out of sorts and that his behavior typically followed visits to the doctor.

The trial is expected to end by the end of July. Jackson's family is seeking $40 billion in damages.
