Two U.S. Men Charged With Fraud For Alleged Lady Gaga And Rihanna Concert Scams

Sylvester Vincent Carroll and Meceo McEaddy have been charged with two felonies-grand larceny and scheming to fraud in the first degree-for allegedly organizing fake Lady Gaga and Rihanna concerts and then making off with $2 million from duped promoters.

According to Lehigh Valley Live, the two men convinced organizers that the concerts would be attended by A-list celebs, despite having no connection to Gaga or Riri.

"These defendants are charged with selling concert promoters around the world a false bill of goods," said Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R Vance Jr.

"Rihanna's 'Please Don't Stop the Music' could be an anthem for the legions of disappointed fans who heard about her concert in Brazil, only to learn that it had to be canceled before tickets even went on sale."

According to the D.A., the schemes began in 2010 and went as far as Brazil, Taiwan and Mexico.
