Clapton Releasing Unplugged: Expanded And Remastered

Eric Clapton is set to re-issue his classic Unplugged album. Due this fall, the new version will be re-mastered from the original recordings and include songs that didn't make the first CD, along with a DVD of the entire set. The DVD will include never-before-seen rehearsal footage from the 1992 concert.

The second disc of the re-issue includes a cover of Big Maceo Merriweather's "Worried Life Blues," an alternate take of "Walkin' Blues," and early versions of "Circus" and "My Father's Eyes," which both later appeared on Clapton's Pilgrim album.

The original Unplugged album sold more than 19 million copies worldwide and featured two Top 10 hits with "Tears in Heaven" and "Layla." The album won six Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

Unplugged: Expanded and Remastered is due October 15 on Rhino.
