Keith Urban Talks 'We Were Us' Duet With Miranda Lambert

"We Were Us," the duet pairing Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert from Urban's latest LP Fuse, is currently tearing up charts, prompting the Aussie star to speak with Radio.com on his choice of Lambert for the song.

"I always loved the way our voices sounded together," he began.

"'We Were Us' came along and it's not the kind of song Miranda would normally do, but her voice is the first one I heard in my head. I called her up and sent her the song and she loved it and came to the studio . . . I'm just so happy at the way it turned out."

For her part, Lambert has noted that the pair had a great time recording the track, calling the experience "awesome."

Urban's "Light the Fuse Tour" continued this weekend with shows in Oklahoma and Louisiana.
