Bruce Springsteen Auctions Guitar For $250,000 At Benefit

Bruce Springsteen auctioned the very guitar he used to perform at the recent "Stand Up for Heroes" benefit at NYC's Madison Square Garden. The ax pulled in over $250,000 for the cause.

After wowing the crowd with his set, which included a cover of Suicide's "Dream Baby Dream," Springsteen auctioned his guitar with the help of NBC anchor Brian Williams.

In addition to the Boss, former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters performed at MSG. The event wasn't limited to music, as comedians Jerry Seinfeld and Jon Stewart also entertained the crowd.

"[The event] brings together leaders from military, business, entertainment, government, and philanthropy to raise funds to help post-911 injured service members and their families thrive long after they return to the home front," the foundation stated on its official site.
