Amazon Refusing To Stock Beyoncé's New Album After ITunes Exclusive

Following the surprise roll out of Beyoncé's fifth studio album to iTunes only, Amazon has refused to sell physical copies of it. They will still offer the MP3 version of the LP, while physical copies may be purchased through third party sellers on the site.

Amazon also refused to advertise the album on its homepage, meaning that purchasers had to search for it manually.

Target soon jumped onto Amazon's bandwagon, refusing to sell the album at its locations, prompting Bey to hit back.

Beyoncé showed up at Massachusetts Wal-Mart - one of Amazon and Target's biggest competitors - giving away a total of $37,000 in gift cards to shoppers.

Bey gave iTunes a one week exclusive to her album, during which time it moved 600,000 units.
