Pink And Katy Perry Dominate Australian Year-End Charts
Pink and Katy Perry are the top two stars when it comes to the Australian Year-End charts.
The pop starlets chart domination came thanks to Perry's "Roar," which spent nine weeks at number one and 21 weeks in the Top Ten overall, and Pink's The Truth About Love, which stayed in the Top 40 for the entire year. The latter has been certified 8x Platinum due to sales of 560,000 units (sales of 70,000 units is the threshold for platinum Down Under).
Rounding out the top five best-performing albums were Perry's Prism, Bruno Mars' Unorthodox Jukebox, Michael Buble's To Be Loved and Daft Punk's Random Access Memories.
"Roar" finished the year ahead of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," Passenger's "Let Her Go," Avicii's "Wake Me Up" and Lorde's The Love Club EP, featuring "Royals."
