Arizona Couple Plead Not Guilty To Miley Cyrus Car Theft

Tylor Scott and Naomi Charles of Arizona have pleaded not guilty to burglary in connection with the theft at the home of Miley Cyrus. The L.A. prosecutor alleges that the pair broke into the pop star's house on May 30 and stole jewelry and a Maserati sports car.

Scott and Charles face charges of first degree residential burglary, grand theft of personal property, grand theft auto and unlawful driving.

Scott faces a max sentence of nine years, while Charles faces nearly eight. The sentences are so harsh because the couple was in possession of a gun at the time of the robbery, claims the prosecutor. Cyrus was not at home at the time of the robbery as she was on tour in Europe.

Scott and Charles are due back in court June 18.
