Bruce Springsteen Weighs In On World Cup Biting Controversy

Bruce Springsteen gave his opinion on the World Cup incident that saw Uruguay's Luis Suarez bite Italy's Giorgio Chiellini on the shoulder. Stopped by a TMZ photag in NYC, the Boss said the act has no place in sports:

"What are the rules about biting in the World Cup? There probably should be one. Biting has no place in sports."

The chomp came in the second half of Uruguay and Italy's match. Replay shows that Suarez appears to bite Chiellini after which the latter pulls down his shirt to show the bite marks to the ref.

Suarez was not ejected from the match, but FIFA is investigating.

TMZ also asked Bruce whether he'd ever consider an attempt to buy a sports team, like fellow Jersey rocker Bon Jovi:

"No," he said. "Rock n' roll is hard enough."
