Mariah Carey offered up a preview of her new track “I Don’t” on the most recent episode of her show Mariah’s World. The track was inspired by her split from Australian billionaire James Packer and she spoke on the track in an interview on the show. “Ever since the tour wrapped I took some time just to process my feelings and I started writing a song to express what I’ve been going through,” she explained. “And if you’re not getting the love that you need from someone that you’re supposed to be in a real relationship with, then why remain in that situation?” Carey sings on the track: “‘Cause when you love someone, you just don’t treat them bad, you messed up all we had. Probably think I’m coming back, but I don’t, I don’t.” She also teased the track in a recent Instagram video, playing up the song’s title with an image of a wedding invitation.
