Mariah Carey has signed on for a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week. The appearance will mark her first television performance since her disastrous appearance on the New Year’s Rocking Eve event. She is slated to perform her current single “I Don’t.” The New Year’s Eve appearance bombed with Mariah and producers both pointing fingers. The diva hit Twitter shortly after the performance claiming the she was pushed out onto stage even despite faulty in-ear monitors: “I came to New Year’s Eve in New York in great spirits and was looking forward to a celebratory moment with the world,” Carey said in a nearly two-minute audio recording posted to her Twitter page. “It’s a shame that we were put into the hands of a production team with technical issues, who chose to capitalize on circumstances beyond our control.” The upcoming appearance is scheduled for Wednesday night.
