Mariah Carey has shut down rumors that she may be embroiled in a bitter custody dispute. Rumors have swirled that Mimi and former husband Nick Cannon have gone to war over custody of their children together. Now, however, Carey has set the record straight claiming that there is no such dispute. “There’s no validity or truth to the false allegations looming in the press regarding our family,” Carey stated. “Nick is the father of my children we will always stand up for each other, have each other’s backs and we will always remain a strong family.” The rumor initially gained steam after a report from the National Enquirer claimed that Mariah was concerned about “erratic behavior” from Cannon.
