Keith Urban is the happy owner of a lush new $39 million townhome in Manhattan. The Upper East Side mansion was once owned by Michael Jackson, and Urban and his wife Nicole Kidman purchased the property as Kidman is eyeing a career move towards Broadway. Kidman recently starred in the West End staging of the show Photograph 21 and has been rumored as one of the leads in the show as it moves to New York. A source close to the actress spoke about the move with Women’s Day, noting: “Nicole is keen to do Broadway shows and get into making TV programs and New York is a much better place for them to be than Nashville,” a source told the magazine. The home was sold by hedge fund manager Marc Lasry and was built in 1898. The 25-foot-wide home is 12,745 square feet and comes with 16 rooms, including seven bedrooms.
