Madonna shared an acoustic cover of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” in honor of World AIDS Day. She also used the opportunity to wish Spears a happy birthday on December 2. “It’s getting late/ To give you up/ I took a sip/ From my devil’s cup/ Slowly, it’s taking over me,” Madonna sings in the infrared video. “Silence =Death!” she wrote. “Song For World AIDS Day! #toxic# poisonparadise.” In separate posts, she showcased an old letter that ran as an ad in Billboard magazine back in 1991 along with an old photograph with two friends who died of the disease.
