Seal has revealed the genesis of his new debut with Frank Sinatra on “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” He says that after the release of his Standards album last month, the Sinatra estate reached out to him. “The reason why this particular recording is unique is, of course, because I am doing a duet with Frank Sinatra,” Seal tells Billboard. “They had already had the Christmas duets record set. And they heard me and they asked if I would do it. And then I got to meet them and they said that Sinatra would have liked what I did, which was very nice.” The singer explains that he recorded his Sinatra duet at Capitol Studios, in one of the rooms where Sinatra himself sang on many occasions, describing the studio as a well-preserved time capsule “in memory of all of the great artists that have recorded there.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com.
