Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong led an all-star jam during a party in New York City on New Year’s Eve. The punk icon hit the stage with E Street Band’s Steven Van Zandt, the Replacements’ Tommy Stinson, Blondie’s Clem Burke, the Hold Steady’s Tad Kubler, Jesse Malin, and Armstrong’s own sons for a cover of the Replacement’s “Color Me Impressed.” Armstrong also made recent headlines when he shared news of an upcoming guitar sell-off on the website Reverb.com. Speaking of the sale, he noted: “Used guitars, in particular, come with a history to them. I love the character you can see looking at a fretboard that’s been used-you can see where someone played it in clubs, in barns, in churches. We had a guitar come through our store, and you could just see the smoke from the clubs it was played in. It was beautiful. I hope the gear from the Green Day Reverb shop goes to someone that plays it.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
