Jewel has teamed with Zappos for a new charity startup venture. The project, called Whole Human, focuses on health and wellbeing for employees, especially through healthy meal options and other wellness perks. She broke the news at the Consumer Electronics Seminar and says she’s thrilled with the project: “It will be the next frontier of corporate culture,” she explains, adding that there will be many opportunities through Whole Human. “It isn’t a more elegant trap to keep people at work by doing their dry-cleaning and walking their dogs.” She adds: “I really want to help people understand that they have self-agency,” she says. “They can be an architect of a life that they choose.
