Janet Jackson has signed on for a headlining performance at the upcoming Panorama music festival. The event is set to take place Friday, July 27 through Sunday, July 29 at Randall’s Island Park in New York City. The Killers and The Weeknd will also serve as headliners for the event. Migos, Father John Misty, the War on Drugs, Dua Lipa, SZA, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, St. Vincent, the XX, Odesza, David Byrne, Fleet Foxes and many more are also set to perform. This year’s event is also touting an expanded virtual reality experience called The Lab. Reps from the fest claim it will be one of the largest public VR experiences to date: “If you are going to create a VR experience at a festival, it absolutely must be a communal one,” says Justin Bolognino, founder and chief experience officer of Meta, which designs the Lab, a Panorama centerpiece since the festival debuted last year. “Tech is never going to replace emotion and storytelling.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
