Jimmy Buffett has signed on for a headlining performance at Boston’s Fenway Park this summer. The original Parrot Head will take the stage as part of the city’s Fenway Summer Series on August 9 and will be joined by special guest openers Huey Lewis and the News. The show will mark Buffett’s first appearance at Fenway since 2004 and tickets for the event are set to go on sale on February 23. The announcement comes at a busy time for the star, whose new musical Escape to Margaritaville is set to open on Broadway this month. The show tells the story of a bartender who falls for a tourist in his nightspot: “Well, going to Broadway is a dream come true, but to be coming to the Marquis is like having a great margarita with a tequila floater,” Mr. Buffett said in a statement.
