Joan Baez has announced plans to retire from touring following a farewell tour. The run will kick off September 11 in Ithaca, New York and concludes November 17 in Oakland, California. The run will come in support of her new release Whistle Down the Wind, which drops March 2 via Razor and Tie. Speaking of the release, she said: “The direction this album went is that [2018] is going to be my last year of formal touring, and so there was a feeling, maybe not even spoken, but there was a strong feeling that it’s time to move on,” she said.
