Prince’s estate has agreed to a licensing deal with the Minnesota Twins. The team will don purple themed uniforms for a special Prince tribute night including baseball caps with the star’s iconic “love” logo. The team broke news earlier this week and shared a photo of the hat designs: “Along with our fans, we look forward to celebrating the legacy of a man who brought an international spotlight to our great city,” Twins CEO Dave St. Peter said. Local music critic Chris Riemenschneider also revealed via Twitter that the merch will be available year-round through the team’s official store: “You can now buy Prince-branded @Twins merch year-round at Target Field, in what we think is the first deal of its kind in major-league sports. #PrinceMinnesotahttp://strib.mn/2EQNQqq” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
