Tim McGraw has spoken up in support of retailers that have taken up more stringent policies on the sale of guns. Dick’s Sporting Goods and Walmart are among the mega retailers that have changed their gun sale policies in the wake of the recent Florida school shooting and McGraw applauds their steps forward. He hit Twitter to share his thoughts, writing: “Thank you @Dicks for taking a stand to promote a meaningful discussion for the safety of our kids!” McGraw writes, re-tweeting a statement from Dick’s Sporting Goods about their policy changes. “@Walmart, @Kroger and @LLBean too.” He has previously voiced his support for new gun safety regulation: “Look, I’m a bird hunter — I love to wing-shoot … However, there is some common sense that’s necessary when it comes to gun control,” McGraw said at the time. “They want to make it about the Second Amendment every time it’s brought up.
