Neil Diamond To Be Honored By Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Neil Diamond has been named the recipient of this year’s Johnny Mercer Award at the 49th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony and gala. The event is set to take place in New York City on June 14. The award is the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s highest honor and will be bestowed upon Diamond, who was inducted into the Hall in the 1980s. The legend recently revealed that he has retired from touring due to a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease: “I plan to remain active in writing, recording and other projects for a long time to come. My thanks go out to my loyal and devoted audiences around the world. You will always have my appreciation for your support and encouragement. This ride has been ‘so good, so good, so good’ thanks to you,” Diamond said in a statement at the time. Copyright(c) 2018 All Rights ReservedLess «
