Three Broadway stars have been finalized to play the lead role for the upcoming musical based on the songs and life story of pop legend Cher. Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks and newcomer Micaela Diamond are the actresses set to portray the Grammy, Emmy and Oscar winning superstar at three different stages in her life and career. The Cher Show’s pre-Broadway engagement will be held at Chicago’s Oriental Theater on June 12, the show’s representatives said. The Cher Show is set to open on Broadway in November after the limited run in Chicago. Previews at New York’s Neil Simon Theater on November 1 and its Broadway debut on December 3 have also been scheduled.
