Brown University honored Sting and his wife Trudie Styler by presenting them with honorary degrees at its 250th commencement over the weekend. The Ivy League school also honored Nobel Prize-winning physicist J. Michael Kosterlitz. Sting and Styler received the honorary degrees for founding the Rainforest Fund, an organization dedicated to protecting rain forests and the indigenous people who call them home. After receiving the degree, Sting delighted the crowd with a performance of the ballad “My One and Only Love.” While addressing the students, Sting said: “The future is yours, and I’m much more optimistic today than I was yesterday, so thank you for that.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
