Bruce Springsteen will receive a special Tony Award for his “once-in-a-life” production of “Springsteen on Broadway.” The Tony Awards announced the news in a live-streamed ceremony on Tuesday. It is the latest of many honors that have been bestowed on the acclaimed singer-songwriter. He was previously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has received Kennedy Center Honors, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and two Golden Globes. The Tonys will also present a special award to John Leguizamo for his commitment to telling stories that shine a light on racial and socioeconomic injustice. The award ceremony is scheduled for June. Springsteen on Broadway was an instant success after its launch in October last year. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
