A large collection of Genesis memorabilia is set to hit the auction block later this month. The auction, via Special Auction Services, will be held on May 16 in Newbury, Berkshire, UK. The decision to sell the valuable articles, worth an estimated $540,00, was made by the family of late Genesis fan Peter Vickers. Vickers started collecting Genesis Records and Memorabilia in the Mid 1970s. He also wrote a number of articles on the band. His collection includes Vinyl, CDs, DVDs, concert programs from as early as the Foxtrot tour, original Posters, and signed items. The memorabilia also includes a stock copy USA release of “The Silent Sun,” the band’s first single, on the Parrot Label. Until a few years ago, it was only thought to exist in Promo form.
