LeAnn Rimes has released a new live version of her debut single “Blue.” “Blue,” the title track of Rimes’ debut album, was originally written and recorded by Bill Mack in the 1950s and was certified gold in 1998 for sales in excess of 500,000 units. Blue sold more than 6 million copies following its release. Rimes first shared the song with Taste of Country, recalling that the song’s impact on her life dates back to her pre-teen years. “I originally recorded the song ‘Blue’ right before I turned 12 years old,” Rimes explains. “It is crazy to think how this one song changed the course of my life.” Rimes won three ACM Awards in 1996, including Single of the Year and Song of the Year and two Grammy Awards in 1997, including one for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, for “Blue.” Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
