Styx have announced plans to release two new albums in June and July. First to release is vocalist/guitarist Tommy Shaw’s solo 2016 concert performance with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra on June 29. It will be released on Blu-ray, CD, and Digital Audio / Video via Eagle Rock Entertainment. Pre-orders are being taken on Eagle Rock’s website. Coming next is The Mission, the highly anticipated reissue of their first new studio album in 14 years. The release date is July 27 via Alpha Dog 2T/Ume. The two-disc package will include a CD of the original album, as well as stunning visualizations for each of the album’s 14 songs. The Mission, released in June last year, performed well on various Billboard charts. “The Mission, a concept album of all new music, is a trip,” according to Shaw. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
