Janet Jackson is grateful to her fans for the support they extended to the singer following the death of her beloved father Joe Jackson last week. “Hey, you guys, it’s been a pretty rough week. Thank u for all your love and support. Means so much to me during this time,” the 52 year-old singer said in a video message she posted on Instagram Wednesday. Later in the video, Janet couldn’t hide her excitement to return to her State of the World Tour. “But we’re excited. I’m excited,” she said, and added: “We cannot wait to see you. It’s been way too long. I miss you guys way too much. I’m about to jump on this plane and start this tour.” Joe Jackson died last Wednesday at the age of 89 after battling terminal pancreatic cancer. He is survived by wife Katherine and eight children. Joe Jackson was laid to rest at the same Southern California cemetery where his legendary son Michal Jackson is buried.
