An unreleased song by Prince will be featured during the end credits of Spike Lee’s upcoming film, BlacKkKlansman. Lee told Rolling Stone that he got an old cassette recording of Prince singing the song “Mary Don’t You Weep” from Troy Carter, who is one of the executives at Spotify and a Prince estate advisor. “Prince wanted me to have that song, I don’t care what nobody says. My brother Prince wanted me to have that song for this film. There’s no other explanation to me,” the director told the magazine. BlacKkKlansman is scheduled to be released on August 10. Since Prince’s death, his estate has been sorting through around 1,000 unheard songs in the musician’s artistic vault. They are also planning to release a set of recent recordings, based on Prince’s home studio cassette recordings, on September 21. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
